Position Summary

Advanced understanding of all maintenance. Ability to train and lead crews. Continuous Improvement. Incumbents are capable of performing advanced machining duties. Ability to complete advanced multi-craft maintenance. May perform advanced machining duties.

Key Position Results (Examples: Accurate financial reporting, Timely issue resolution, etc.)
Ability to troubleshoot advanced mechanical & electrical problems in an efficient and safe manner throughout the facility

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Makes advanced repairs and adjustment to electrical devices 20%
Completes mechanical repairs and makes adjustments as needed 20%
Completes welding and fabrication tasks with little direction 5%
Successfully troubleshoots many mechanical and electrical problems 10%
Accountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately 5%
Maintain a clean and safe work area 5%
Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as assigned. 5%
May perform advanced machining 5%
Train & Lead lower level maintenance 5%
Serve on continuous improvement initiatives / Analyze uptime trends to identify opportunity for improvement 5%
Coordinates & Installs projects & upgrades 5%
Perform advanced failure root cause investigation 5%
Modify advanced PLC & HMI Programming 5%

Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing and code books.
Advanced mechanical, welding and cutting skills
Capable of reading mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints.
Good problem solving skills, safety practices and attention to quality.
Advanced workbench and computer skills.
Advanced knowledge of AC/DC motor drives, PLC and SLC controllers and motor control circuits
Able to lead, train & coordinate with all departments
Self Starter
Advanced Leadership Skills
Strong Mechanical & electrical troubleshooting skills
Can plan and coordinate large projects
Advanced PLC Programming & Drive programming skills

Education / Training Required
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
CPR and First Aid Training
Lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, confined spaced training
WI electrical safety training
Complete knowledge of Standard Operating Procedure Manual
5-7 years of maintenance experience
